'FAST-FORWARD / REWIND #9' is an open edition fine art giclée print selected from the internationally exhibited audiovisual installation and digital collage artwork of the same name.
FAST-FORWARD / REWIND was first exhibited as part of the 'CRIME SCENES' installation in July 2019, and has since been exhibited both digitally and physically in Miami, Berlin. Milan and Lisbon.
The print features a vintage Toshiba Boombox wrapped in custom hand-printed hazard warning tape bearing the legend "NO$TALGIA". The Boombox is from the Zeitwarp personal collection.
The psychedelic distortion background is an extract from the sonic visual pattern of a MUSIC GRAFFITI painting.
The giclée process combines specialist acid-free paper with archival inks to produce the highest fidelity reproduction with museum-grade longevity. The resulting prints demonstrate a greater depth in both colour and texture over a standard art print.
FAST-FORWARD / REWIND is the foundational work in 'The NO$TALGIA SHOW' - a long term creative series of physical and digital artworks examining Transience, Obsolescence, Transformation, Retro-Utopianism and the implications of the Nostalgia/NO$TALGIA phenomenon on culture, society, politics and climate.
The print release has an accompanying unique digital 'sound & vision' remix that can be activated by viewing the print in augmented reality.
